A bit about Jamie Pickett
I have lived in Bournemouth for the past 10 years and I love the area. There's lots to do and we are surrounded by some of the best areas to explore in Britain.
I have recently completed a degree in Clinical Exercise Science at Bournemouth University and the AECC which has equipped me with key skills to begin a career in the fitness industry.
Clinical Exercise Science involves using exercise as a prescription to prevent, manage and improve a wide range of injuries and long term conditions and to also improve performance in sports. During my final year I worked as a cardiac rehabilitation instructor and before that I worked as a chef.
My journey goes back to when I was 4 years old, donning the black and white stripes of Woodley Zebras and following my teammates around the pitch for an occasional kick of the ball. I have lead an active lifestyle since, playing a variety of sports such as football and tennis and I have also been an avid gym user for a number of years. I am keen to pass on my knowledge so if our paths cross, give me a shout and I'll see what I can do.
