I have always been interested in exercise and human movement from a young age and explored this further by undertaking a sports science degree, followed by a master’s degree in Physiotherapy. I have been fortunate to have worked as a Specialist Physiotherapist in a variety of settings from the NHS, private practice and the Ministry of Defence which has given me the skills and experience in treating a vast variety of conditions and injuries.
In 2014 I set up Urban to create a fun and friendly community environment where people felt comfortable to exercise regardless of age or injury. As well as empowering people to stay active for longer I have focused on Urban being able to provide a more holistic approach to addressing people’s health problems. I believe that by staying fit together people hopefully will be happier and healthier in their lives.
Over the years I developed a special interest in managing and teaching people about complex back and spinal pain. This hugely complex condition allows me to draw on all my skills, from the hands-on treatment, biomechanics, rehabilitation and the psychology of pain management plus much more.
